How we verify suppliers

We publish a verification score for every listed supplier. This is the whole method behind it — what each point is derived from, and what the number cannot tell you.

No supplier has passed these checks yet, so our directory is empty. That is the standard working, not a gap: we would rather show you nothing than a name we have not checked.

What happens before a supplier is listed

Identity first
Before anything else, we confirm the company is a real, reachable business and that the person we are dealing with speaks for it. A supplier that fails this is not listed, whatever documentation it offers.

Certificates, read against the product
For each product a supplier wants listed, we review the third-party certificate of analysis: that it exists, that it is legible, that it names the batch and the compound it claims to cover, and that it matches what the listing says. We do not commission the testing, and we say so on every listing.

Published with the checks attached
A listing goes live showing which checks were confirmed, which were not, and when. Anything a supplier writes about itself is reviewed before it appears, because once it is on our page it is our claim too.

Re-checked as documents age
A certificate loses weight in the score as its test date recedes, and a supplier editing the facts on a verified certificate drops it back to unverified until an administrator looks again.

How the score is calculated

Five components, 100 points in total. Every one is derived from something on file — there is no component for a quality we do not hold data on.

Business identity confirmed

up to 30 points

That the company is a real, reachable business, and that the person we deal with speaks for it.

How it is earned: All 30 points or none — an administrator either confirmed the identity or did not.

Certificates of analysis on file

up to 25 points

How many of the supplier's products carry a third-party certificate of analysis that we have reviewed against the product it claims to cover.

How it is earned: Proportional, reaching all 25 points at 3 reviewed certificates.

How recent the testing is

up to 20 points

The test date on the most recent reviewed certificate. Old testing is weaker evidence than new testing.

How it is earned: Full credit when the most recent test is within 90 days, half credit within 365 days, none after that.

Time listed on A Peptide Store

up to 15 points

How long the supplier has been listed here — the only track record we can observe directly rather than take someone's word for.

How it is earned: Builds evenly to all 15 points over 12 months.

What this score does not tell you

Published in the same place as the number itself, because a trust signal that hides its own limits is worth less than no signal at all.

We do not test product ourselves

Every certificate here was produced by a third-party laboratory and paid for by the supplier. We check that the document exists, is legible, names the batch and compound it claims to cover, and matches what the listing says. We did not commission the test.

A certificate covers one batch, not every vial

It is evidence that a specific batch was tested on a specific date. It is not a guarantee about the item you are sent.

Shipping, fulfilment and customer service are not measured

We hold no data on any of them, so the score contains no subscore for them rather than a guess dressed as one.

We do not audit manufacturing facilities

No part of this score reflects a site visit, a facility inspection, or a review of manufacturing practice.

Nothing here is a safety, legality or efficacy claim

A high score says a supplier has documented itself well. It says nothing about whether any compound is safe, legal for you to obtain, or effective for any purpose.

Time listed is not quality

Tenure measures how long we have been able to observe a supplier. A long-listed supplier is not thereby a better one.
